about about the friends of shellman bluff
The Friends of Shellman Bluff (FOSB) is a ten year old, State of Georgia registered, non-profit corporation dedicated to improving the quality of life for the residents of Shellman Bluff and the surrounding communities. All work is volunteer. FOSB sponsors several events during the year: Our main fundraiser is the St. Patrick's Day parade.
The Friends of Shellman Bluff is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, more specifically to raise funds for the Volunteer Fire Departments of both Shellman Bluff and Harris Neck. It is the intention of the organization to raise funds to qualify both Volunteer Fire Departments for a community grant from the State of Georgia. The organization is expanding its purpose to serve the public interest of the Shellman Bluff and Harris Neck communities by funding community projects. The focus of these projects to be funded is as follows:
1. Provide a safe environment on our streets that will be free of crime.
2. Keep the community clean.
3. Enhance the quality of living in our community.
4. Provide scholarships to qualified students in McIntosh County.
